I can't believe how much he has grown

I probably have said this every month that passes but this month especially has made me realize how big he has gotten. Just yesterday I finally notice a little tooth popping through. Today he offered me his binky (We always play a game where I steal his binky and put it in my mouth and then he yanks it back out and puts it back in his mouth) and today when I did this he took binky and offered it to me and though it was the funniest thing in the world when I put it in my mouth. (He laughed so hard that he gave himself hiccups).

He's all over the place crawling, pulling himself up on the furniture and walking along it then going from one piece of furniture to the next. I can't believe that he's so close to walking. He said mama for the first time 3 days ago! I got so excited and he looked at me weird like "whats the matter with you mama?" He's only said it once since then but at least he is able to say the sounds now.

He does things purposely that he thinks will make us laugh. He dances like a maniac because he knows hes funny. He makes funny faces, funny noises, and he even does things he knows hes not allowed to do like sticking his hands in the cat food (his new favorite thing to do when he gets home is watch me feed the cats, then crawls quickly over and digs right in).

Today we went to the bronx zoo and we rode a camel together!

Soooo busy!

I cant believe how long its been since I've posted! Lucas is 8 months old and ALL over the place. He's crawling like a pro and just started to pull himself up onto things (many things that he shouldn't!) He makes us laugh daily. He cracks himself up. He will do something that he shouldn't like pull my hair and then crack up laughing, how can you not laugh at that? Im in sooo much trouble when I need to start disciplining him because he just makes me laugh.

Every morning he wakes up plays in his crib for about 5 minutes and then pulls down his bumper and looks for us through the bars of the crib. I love watching it in the monitor and then I crawl in to surprise him. I get a HUGE smile and a giggle from him when he sees me.

The crawling and pulling himself up on things is going to be the death of me because he bangs his head on everything! I will be crawling next to him and he will just decided to roll over and bang into the coffee table/ entertainment center/ some random toy. Or he will stand up and hold onto something like his music table but then decide that he's done and will just let go and fall. Every once in awhile he will fall gracefully and just land on his butt, but the rest of the time he will bang his head onto the floor or whatever toy might be on the floor (thankfully at least the floor is carpeted) He never cries for more then 5 seconds but each time I hear a "boom" I freak out- worried that he's going to really hurt himself somehow. Apparently he has a very hard head.

He's attached at my hip these days and if I go to sit on the couch he will crawl to me and whine until I pick him up. Its really cute (but I wouldn't mind if he would actually let me sit for more then 30 seconds) He's also completely in love with and attached to his blankie. It goes everywhere with him these days. He literally lights up when he sees it.

He got sick for the first time a few weeks ago. He threw up everywhere many many times and had a high fever. As soon as he got over the stomach virus, he somehow got a bad cold and was coughing so hard that I guess it was irritating his throat and he cried every time he coughed. It was so sad. Thankfully it didn't last too long.

Lucas got his very first "job". He was hired to be in "Parents" magazine and went on his photo shoot. Of course its for I guess an article on eating vegetables, which at the moment Lucas is boycotting. Yes if we try to give him a jar of vegetables he will stick out his tongue and cough until all of the vegetables that got in his mouth literally falls off of his tongue out of his mouth. (Lucas is a character!) anyways he sat in the highchair and looked adorable as always. There was one other boy that was there for the same reason so Im not sure if he will definitely be in the magazine (the editor has final say on what pictures actually get in the magazine) but it will be the december issue if he is!

Its summer..its summer time

I absolutely love being home with my little man. He's becoming so much fun. He has the most energy I have ever seen on a little baby (he takes after his daddy) but I love it. He's such a water baby and LOVES the ocean and the pool. He loves going for walks, playing in the sand, and we even get to play with other babies.

I am soooo late with this haha but Lucas's christening was beautiful and he looked absolutely adorable! However, he hates to just be held and to sit still so he was screaming the majority of the time. Hahah oh well!
