Lucas is two months old!

Some new facts about my little man:

- He now loves to be changed and to be on his changing table

-He loves his play mat, especially the part that lights up and plays music

- He loves to smile big for his mommy

- He gets cranky every night somewhere around 6-7pm

- He still loves to cuddle and sleeps for his naps sooo much better if one of us is holding him

Lucas rolled over!

Yesterday during tummy time I decided to take out the video camera and tape how much better he has been getting at lifting up his head. Well not only did I get that, but he rolled over TWICE. We cheered him on the whole time.

Today he had his 2 month doctors appointment. He now weighs 11lbs 2oz (exactly 4 pounds more than his birth weight) and he is 22 1/2 inches long. The doctor said he's doing great! Lucas wasn't too happy that he had to get some shots but he was a trooper. :-)

Happy Valentines Day

What a great day. It's Lucas' first valentines day. I decided today that I need some pictures of Lucas and I so I actually did my hair and put on some makeup and daddy took some pictures. I can't get over how big he's gotten already.

I love mommy (he's even pointing to himself!)

hahaha thankfully he is sooo cute that I just melt when I look at him and can care less that he wakes me up 4897435799 times a day. But we can't wait until he starts sleeping for a decent amount of time at night.

He has been sleeping in his bassinet since he got home from the hospital. However, he doesn't like it. He likes to cuddle (just like mommy) and he whines and grunts and spits out his binky because he is mad that he is stuck in there all by himself. So I wake up and put binky back in and rock him back and forth and eventually it seems like he fell back asleep, but 5 minutes later I have to repeat the process. He will eventually fall asleep but then an hour later he is due for his bottle so he wakes up yelling. By 5am I am exhausted and I take him and put him in bed with me. He cuddles up real close and falls right to sleep. :-) God I love him, but I am a very tired mommy haha

Last night we decided to try to put him in his crib for the night. We figured that maybe we'd sleep better not waking up to every noise he makes. But it didn't work out. He woke up more often then usual, and every time his binky fell out we had to get out of get and go get it (instead of just reaching for it in the bassinet) so we'll try again in a week or 2.
